I hate OpenOffice.org

I’m sorry, I really do. I’ve tried to like it, but every time I’ve tried to use (except early 2.0 on Windows) it’s been buggy, and the interface is really ugly. It does a horrible job of mimicking Word’s interface, (which is not great itself) and the interface it does have isn’t very intuitive. It also never seems to integrate well either.

AbiWord is a really nice word processor, it’s a shame it went GNOME only. Guess I have to find a different Powerpoint replacement too.

I am with you on this one – have to deal with open office at work and really hate it – as much that I usually use anything else I can

I’ve found OpenOffice problematic because I own all the major wordpressors… ie. MSWord 2003, WordperfectX3, StarOffice 7… and so in comparison, it seems so limited. However, since I’ve tried using only Linux for a while… it’s my most-used programme (after my Firefox browser)… and so, it’s been a good program to have (despite its limitations).

no wonder it is free, usability = 0. ok in a pinch, sometimes, like a last minute prom date, whether you’re ugly or she’s ugly, dose’nt matter, hopefully you’ll make a friend for life.
